Vintage Western Graphic Tees

Our signature style is a mix of vintage-style and western style graphic tees. All our graphics tell a story, and our stories are all about life with animals, and growing up in small town Texas. I grew up shopping in thrift stores and wearing all the western styles: hand tooled leather belts with my name on the back, cowboy boots, denim skirts with lace at the bottom. Some of my favorite memories are of my little baby brother wearing his spurs on his boots to church on Sundays and seeing everyone turn around when he walked in, clinking those spurs with every step.

2025 Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts for the Animal Lover

This guide is full of unique and special gifts that any animal lover would LOVE to give or receive. We only feature small, women or family-owned, mission-driven businesses that donate a portion of proceeds to animal serving nonprofits.

Pet Rodeo's 2025 Holiday Hoodie

We are just tickled at how our first-ever Holiday Hoodie came out. It's a perfect blend of vintage holiday cards, Texas style, and appreciation for our dog of the year: the Chihuahua! This adorable little pack of Chihuahuas (aka "wawas") singing by the fireplace is just what you need to add some joy & comfort to your holiday season. But, of course, the best thing about this hoodie is how it helps pets in need. We will donate $13.60 from each hoodie purchased to our nonprofit veterinary clinic partners, which makes a huge difference at this time of year.

Nonprofit Veterinary Clinics To Support This Holiday Season

Here's some amazing nonprofit veterinary clinics from around the country (not including Texas -we did a separate post just for our Texas favorites, here). It is not a comprehensive list, but just a few that we know, love, and have supported over the years. Let's show these folks some holiday love, y'all!

Texas Nonprofit Veterinary Clinics To Support This Holiday Season

These incredible organizations are the unsung heroes of animal welfare and public health, creating a safety net for more than 50 million beloved U.S. pets whose families cannot afford the high and rising cost of market sector (for-profit) veterinary care.  Here's some amazing nonprofit veterinary clinics in Texas. It is not a comprehensive list, but just a few that we know, love, and have supported over the years. Let's show these folks some holiday love, y'all!

Pet Rodeo's Purrito Shirt: The funny cat t-shirt that helps cats

Our cute, funny Purrito graphic tee is the purrfect git for cat lovers, vets, or vet techs. And, it's based on a real (and really important) low-stress cat handling technique in veterinary medicine. Gently wrapping wiggly or nervous kitties with a towel provides safe, gentle restraint during physical exams, vaccines, blood draws, and procedures, and helps kitties stay warm and snug after surgery. It also looks like a little burrito but with a kitty cat head: one of the cutest things we get to see in vet med.

Our Top Ten Favorite Texas Sayings

I have a lot of great memories from my childhood in West Texas... catching horny toads, summers of dust storms and flash floods, tarantula migrations, and the most beautiful sunsets you've ever seen anywhere. But the most colorful thing was the language - the "old timers" especially had a way with words that stayed with me. Here's my Top Ten favorite colorful Texas phrases that you'll probably hear me say (or you might see in our graphic tees)!

Pets are Family: Diamond, Baby and Foxy

At Pet Rodeo, our WHY is raising funds to cover veterinary costs for families in need. It's the reason we built this business, and nothing brings us more joy than hearing from the families we've been able to help with our donations. One of those families is Diamond and her gorgeous kitty Baby, who live in Atlanta.

What's the story? "Sorry Doesn't Feed the Bulldog"

Some of y'all have asked about our Sorry Doesn't Feed the Bulldog tee and what it means... so for those of y'all who didn't grow up in a small Texas town... here's the scoop!  "Sorry doesn't feed the bulldog" was something your coaches, teachers, or grandparents would say when you got caught breaking a rule and tried to apologize to avoid getting in trouble. It meant that your apology was not enough to make things right.

How the Direct CARE Fund Helps Families Afford Vet Care

We know there are millions of families who love their pets but can't always afford to care for them. Sometimes, that puts pet parents in the awful situation of having to decide how to handle an emergency. Many are forced to give up their pet to a shelter or rescue group just so they can get the care they need. It doesn't have to be that way, and the Direct CARE Fund is helping to change that, one pet and family at a time. This is compassion and love in action!

How Emancipet Makes Veterinary Care Affordable for All

It's not just what they do (which is amazing) but how they do it. Emancipet has a commitment to practicing compassion and non-judgment, meeting pet parents where they are, regardless of their financial situation or if they have ever visited a clinic before. They also offer transparent pricing on their web site with no hidden fees!

Caring for your pet's dental health

Working in veterinary medicine, we saw the importance of good dental care for pets every day. Over 80% of dogs over age 3 and over 70% of cats over age 2 will get some form of periodontal disease. But, it can be hard to find good answers to basic pet owner questions about pet dental care. So we made this infographic!
