Pets are Family: Diamond, Baby and Foxy

At Pet Rodeo, our WHY is raising funds to cover veterinary costs for families in need. It's the reason we built this business, and nothing brings us more joy than hearing from the families we've been able to help with our donations. 

One of those families is Diamond and her gorgeous kitty Baby. They live in Atlanta with one other pet - an adorable pup named Foxy (see below for Baby & Foxy BFFs). Baby is 11 years old and as you can see, she believes that Diamond is a great mama but also very good furniture to nap on (just like our kitties)!

Like so many people right now, Diamond was between jobs in July, and needed help affording Baby's annual senior pet visit. Baby needed vaccines and flea/tick preventatives, and Diamond also wanted to get her teeth checked out. Our amazing and kind partners at The Direct Care Fund (a program of CARE) was able to cover the full cost of that visit for Baby. 

But then, just a few days after that visit, Diamond noticed a wound on Baby's head. She was so worried, but Michelle at the Direct Care Fund stepped up yet again and covered the cost of another vet visit to treat Baby's injury. Baby was healed back up in a few weeks, and Diamond was so relieved knowing that her sweet Baby was going to be ok. 

The Direct Care Fund relies on grants and donations to cover the cost of veterinary bills. We are so honored to support them as one of our two main beneficiaries at Pet Rodeo. When you donate to Pet Rodeo, we automatically donate 20% of your total purchase to our two primary beneficiaries - Emancipet and the Direct Care Fund.
