Caring for your pet's dental health
Share
Working in veterinary medicine, we saw the importance of good dental care for pets every day. Over 80% of dogs over age 3 and over 70% of cats over age 2 will have some form of periodontal disease. It's far more common than most pet owners realize and it can cause other serious medical issues.
But it can be hard to find good answers to common questions like "how often should I brush my pets teeth?" and "do I really NEED to brush my cat's teeth?" or even "how much does a pet dental cost?" So, we made this little infographic for Pet Dental Health month to provide some basic info about the importance of dental care for dogs and cats! Hint: any teeth-brushing is better than no teeth-brushing, so don't stress about not doing it often enough, but do try to incorporate it into your pet care routine.
