We're singing the praises of Emancipet! 

Pet Rodeo is a charitable mercantile selling goods for animal people (like our original, vintage-inspired graphic tees) to raise funds for low-cost and free veterinary care. The nonprofits we donate to do incredible work, but lots of folks don't know about them, so we're amplifying their work. What is Emancipet's mission?

Emancipet is on a mission to make veterinary care affordable and accessible for everyone. 

What does Emancipet do?

Emancipet operates a network of low-cost veterinary clinics around the country. They have clinics in:

• Austin, Texas
• Pflugerville, Texas
• Killeen, Texas
• Houston, Texas
• Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 

Their clinics provide low-cost preventive care or "healthy pet" visits, spay/neuter, treatment for some skin and ear conditions, and some even treat deadly heartworm disease, offer dentals, and more complex surgeries. All at a fraction of the cost of a for-profit veterinary clinic! If you or someone you love lives near an Emancipet clinic and needs some help affording veterinary care, you should check them out! 

Why do we love Emancipet so much? 

It's not just what they do (which is amazing) but how they do it. Emancipet has a commitment to practicing compassion and non-judgment, meeting pet parents where they are, regardless of their financial situation or if they have ever visited a veterinarian before.
